The Pinecrest Canyon Road pavement project will rehabilitate the existing roadway surface by removing and replacing the top layer of asphalt. In addition to the paving work, drainage improvements will be constructed at the Henderson Spring, over a section of the road just before the hunting area parking lot. Finally, the roadway at approximately 2239 East will be entirely reconstructed, and the pipe under the road will be replaced. (see map below)
The project is expected to begin as early as July, and will continue through late-September 2021. The contractor will not be permitted to work at night, but work will be allowed to continue into the evenings to help expedite completion of the project.

Due to the size of the paving equipment, and the movement of heavy vehicles (dump trucks, etc.) up and down the canyon, the road may need to be closed for long periods during the day. We will work with the contractor to provide as much access as possible without significantly impacting the project schedule.
